A simple, fast & safe permanent formwork system for concrete stairs in multi-level buildings.

The lead time from signing off the contract, to receiving shop drawings is generally around 2 – 4 business days, however, we do have the capacity to reduce this if required.
The lead time from signing off your shop drawings, to receiving stairs on site is generally around 7 – 10 business days, however, we do have the capacity to reduce this if required.
The maximum width stair that we can manufacture is 2.5 metres wide (restricted to the width of the semi-trailer). However, we can provide wider stairs using our proprietary joining system where two flights of stairs are joined in the centre.
Yes, we can supply a rebate on the stair nosing, please speak to our Technical Team for more information.
Internal brackets are mounted inside the stair frame to allow for a top mounted handrail, whereas external brackets are mounted on the outside of the stair flight to allow for a side mounted handrail.
Yes, we can manufacture tapered stairs, please speak to our Technical Team for more information.
Yes, this coordination and detailing is dealt with in the FTI shop drawing process.
No, two-risers is the minimum we can manufacture with the subframe, we can only supply a single riser loosely to install on-site.
A standard stringer is a solid stringer which is the band to the side of the stair. A solid stringer runs from the soffit up to approx 30mm above the riser height, whereas a profile-cut stringer is cut to follow the profile of the stairs (no stringer visible above the riser height).
No, the lapping bars need to be supplied and installed by others on-site.
Yes, we have Fire Rating Certificates available for stairs, these can be supplied upon request.
We can manufacture any size throat thickness as per the project’s structural specifications.

Yes, typically specified in earthquake prone areas such as New Zealand.
Yes, this coordination and detailing is dealt with in the FTI shop drawing process.
The average stair flight is around 20 – 25 kilograms per riser.
No, every flight of stairs are custom made to order and manufactured to the project’s specifications as set out in the shop drawings.
FTI don’t typically recommend the use of Fast Tread® stairs externally due to potential long term corosion. If Fast Tread® stairs are to be used externally, it is the builders responsibilty to seal the stair to protect from weather (waterproof).
Every stair is different. The price of Fast Tread® stairs depends upon the handrail type, throat thickness and stringer type. Please send us your project plans to get an accurate cost.
FTI Group has manufactured curved flights as a fully custom flight.

Yes, we do have an Installation Guide for BlueDeck Composite™ metal decking, please visit our resources page to request a copy.

The lead time from your confirmed order, to receiving BlueDeck Composite™ metal decking on site is generally around 7 – 10 business days, however, we do have the capacity to reduce this if required.

We are only limited by the length of a semi-trailer, which is around 14.3 metres long.

Both 0.75mm and 1.0mm BlueDeck Composite™ have been physically tested at CSIRO and achieve a 3-hour fire rating.

You’ll need one Safe-T-Tread™ per riser for a level of stairs, usually around 18 Safe-T-Treads™, these can then be reused on the remaining upper levels as your project progresses.
No, the Safe-T-Treads™ are a temporary safety tread system and are easily removed prior to core filling the stairs with concrete.
Yes, the Safe-T-Treads™ can be reused for remaining levels or shafts, or stored and used for future projects where Fast Tread® stairs are being used.
No, the Safe-T-Treads™ can only be used on Fast Tread® stairs because they need to be locked in place with the Fast Tread® screed fold at the back of the tread.
Safe-T-Treads™ are roughly $60 + GST per Safe-T-Tread™, please contact us directly to discuss your requirements.

It’s best to remove the Riser Film immediately after the concrete pour.

Yes, FTI Group can supply stainless steel handrails as well as the galvanised metal handrails.
Yes, FTI Group can provide the handrail design/calculation to achieve a specific load requirement.
Wall mounted handrails are typically used for the load bearing walls, i.e. concrete walls, block walls. Single rail handrails can be used for the non-load bearing walls.
We will review the specific handrail details on a case-by-case basis and advise the client whether or not this is something we can supply.
Yes, we have engineering certificates available for handrails, these can be supplied upon request.

Yes, the FastBeam™ is the load bearing support for a non-load bearing fire separation wall (Hebel, SpeedPanel or uncorefilled Block)

A faster & simpler hob frame system
We stock 100x100mm hob frames, however we custom manufacture hob sizes to suit your project specifications.
Yes, a supender leg system would need to be implemented, such as the Screedmaster adjustable leg.
